Zelenskiy claims Russia evades weapons sanctions. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Russia was employing a network of suppliers to dodge UN missile and weapons restrictions.

Zelenskiy alleged unspecified countries and companies were assisting Russia in acquiring missile technology in a video. Russia has fired hundreds of missiles against Ukraine since October.

“Unfortunately, the terrorist state uses the world’s technologies through a network of suppliers, manages to bypass international sanctions,” Zelenskiy added.

Zelenskiy said Ukraine knew of Russia’s sanctions evasion and would work to ensure “there are no products of the free world in Russian missiles.”

As sanctions constrain Western supplies, Ukrainian forces identified more Chinese components in Russian weaponry used in Ukraine, a top Zelenskiy adviser claimed in April. China denies providing weapons to Russia.
