The White House will announce a new military aid package for Ukraine on Friday.

President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will discuss Ukrainian aid at the White House on Friday.

John Kirby, White House spokesperson, told reporters Thursday that the new aid package will be priced shortly.

On Wednesday, Reuters reported that the U.S. might penalize China if Beijing supports Russia’s conflict in Ukraine.

“I definitely would think in the framework of talking about what’s happening on in Ukraine that the idea of a third party support to Russia may come up,” Kirby said of Biden and Scholz discussing Chinese sanctions.
