A Ukrainian attack on a Crimean port damages a Russian warship, says Moscow. Moscow stated on Tuesday that a Ukrainian bombardment on the port of Feodosia in Crimea caused damage to a significant Russian landing ship and resulted in the death of one individual. This declaration came after Kyiv claimed that it had destroyed a crucial Russian cruiser.

The Interfax news agency quoted the Russian Ministry of Defense as reporting that Ukraine had attacked Feodosia with air-launched missiles and that the vast landing ship known as the “Novocherkassk” had sustained damage as a result of the attack.

The ‘Novocherkassk’ is an armored vehicle constructed in Poland and entered service in the late 1980s. It is designed for amphibious landings and can transport various armored vehicles, including tanks.

The footage, allegedly taken at the port and released on the Telegram messaging app by several Russian news outlets, shows massive explosions taking place and fires raging.

One person had been murdered, two people had been injured, and six people had been evacuated from their houses, according to Sergei Aksyonov, the Russian-installed governor of Crimea, who announced via the messaging app Telegram.

Even though a Ukrainian counteroffensive has not resulted in significant tactical wins and the Russian military has regained the initiative in several locations, Ukraine has been able to conduct a series of strikes on Crimea, which is the headquarters of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, causing significant damage.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, its pilots launched cruise missiles as part of an attack on Feodosia at around 2:30 (0030 GMT), destroying the ‘Novocherkassk.’

Additionally, the fleet in Russia is decreasing in size regularly! Mykola Oleshchuk, the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, posted a message on Telegram expressing his gratitude to the Air Force’s pilots and everyone else involved in the challenging task.

According to a statement issued by the Russian-installed government of Crimea, people were instructed to use another station in the vicinity, which stated that trains were not operating from Feodosia.

A population of around 69,000 people may be found in the Feodosia region, located on the southern coast of the Crimean Peninsula. Both Kyiv and the West denounced Russia’s 2014 seizure of Crimea as an illegitimate attempt to assert its jurisdiction.
