On Tuesday, Ukraine’s foreign minister said that U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken told him in a phone call that Washington supported Kyiv’s determination to win the battle with Russia and opposed attempts to question its military capabilities.
When a Washington Post piece outlined U.S. intelligence officials’ pessimistic assessment of Kyiv’s ability to recapture large Russian-occupied territory, the minister, Dmytro Kuleba, made the statement.
“On our talk today, (Blinken) reiterated the unshakable U.S. support and forcefully rejected any attempts to put doubt on Ukraine’s potential to prevail on the battlefield,” he tweeted.
“The U.S. is Ukraine’s reliable ally, committed to winning and achieving justice.”
Ukraine’s military is likely to counterattack Russian soldiers in the coming weeks.
