Jim Pisani used to be the head of LF’s Licensed Sports Group. But now, Pisani has been promoted to an even higher position. On Monday, VF Corp.’s famous shoe brand, Timberland, named Jim Pisani as the new global brand president.
Pisani will assume his role immediately and will work under Scott Baxter, vice president of VF and group president of Outdoor & Action Sports America. Pisani succeeded President Stewart Whitney (who became president in October 2014).
Scott Baxter praises Pisani’s promotion, “Jim is a tremendously talented and accomplished executive with a proven track record of delivering consistent business results and generating new growth opportunities.”
Baxter supports Pisani’s promotion and believes that he will be a great leader for Timberland.
Pisani began working at LF in 2008 as the President of LF’s Licensed Sports Group. LF’s Sports Group has a few sectors. One sector, Majestic, provides baseball players the official on field uniforms for Major League Baseball. In addition, Majestic produces apparel and merchandise through licensing agreements with famous professional sports leagues, colleges/universities, and lifestyle brands.
Before Pisani started working as the President of LF, he held high positions in branding, advertising, sales, and marketing at Kraft Foods and PepsiCo.
Mike Pardini will replace Pisani as LF’s Licensed Sport Group President and Majestic brand. Pardini was, most recently, the Vice President of Sales for LF’s Sports Group.
