Elon Musk’s daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, has spoken out against her father’s recent transphobic comments. Wilson is the daughter of Elon Musk and X, the owner.
On Thursday, transgender activist Wilson referred to Musk’s X tale about her as “entirely fake.”
Wilson was “born gay and slightly autistic,” Musk wrote on Monday, adding she would “pick out clothes for me to wear like a jacket and tell me it was ‘fabulous!'” when she was a kid.
Wilson, 20, portrayed an inaccurate LGBT stereotype in her thread answer.
I am very positive that I did not choose those coats for him, and I surely did not use the word “fabulous” to describe them. At the age of four, I refrained from using the word “fabulous” for the same reason that I have already mentioned: By the time I was four years old, Wilson said.
Furthermore, she went on to say that Musk “doesn’t know what I was like as a child because he quite simply wasn’t there, and in the little time that he was, I was relentlessly harassed for my femininity and queerness.”
Sharing anti-immigration, anti-DEI, and anti-trans postings and beliefs on X, Musk’s fascination with right-wing politics has grown in recent years.
Interviewing right-wing Canadian podcaster Jordan Peterson on Monday, he detailed his ideological transformation and his belief that he was “tricked” into signing medical paperwork for Wilson’s switch, which he asserted occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic. The billionaire stated that following her shift, he “swore to destroy the woke mind virus.”
A number of people have taken issue with Musk’s anti-trans remarks in the past. A now-deleted tweet from December 2020 by him referred to gender pronouns in a disparaging way and included the following: “When you put he/him in your bio,” a drawing of an 18th-century soldier with blood on his face, standing over a pile of corpses, and a cap that read, “I love to oppress.”
When asked about the backlash to that tweet, Musk replied, “I absolutely support trans, but all these pronouns are an esthetic (sic) nightmare.” A
X repealed transgender people’s safety measures when Musk was in charge. A “slur” on the site, subject to content limitations if directed at another person, is the phrase “cisgender,” which Musk proclaimed last year. This term denotes someone whose gender identification aligns with the sex they were assigned at birth and is widely used in medical situations.
A year ago, journalist Walter Isaacson published Musk’s authorized biography, in which the billionaire discussed his daughter. Musk has spoken about his daughter before. The billionaire said in the book that his daughter’s experience at an alternative school in Los Angeles was a contributing factor to her transformation.
Wilson expressed her desire to break her relationship with her father “in any way, shape or form” when she asked a California court to alter her gender and name in 2022. However, her criticism of Musk’s remarks is at its fiercest in this week’s posts.
Musk declared his child to be “dead” after her transition in the Peterson interview. Musk further claimed that Wilson was “not a girl” in his X post.
On Wednesday, Wilson informed Threads viewers that she is “fine… doing well actually” in a video she uploaded.
The fact that Wilson is “legally recognized as a woman in the state of California and I don’t concern myself with the opinions of those who are below me” was emphasized in her Thursday posts.
The final words were an exhortation to the billionaire to “touch some (f*****g) grass.”
