The USB power bank-powered laptop dish contains the Wi-Fi router.
The new DC-powered Starlink Mini, the size of a thick laptop, combines the Wi-Fi router within the dish. It can reach speeds over 100Mbps yet utilizing less power than comparable Starlink terminals.

The Mini kit uses 20-40W, compared to 33-62W with a Standard Actuated dish and AC-powered Wi-Fi router two years ago. The Mini dish can be powered for two to three hours with an Anker Prime 27,650mAh (99.54Wh) power bank or for over an hour with smaller 10,000mAh (40Wh) portable batteries you probably already have. The USB-C PD power supply must be 100W (20V/5A).
The 298.5 x 259 x 38.5mm Mini dish weights 2.43 pounds (1.1kg) or 3.37 pounds (1.53kg) with the 49.2 foot (15m) DC power line and kickstand. Its IP67 designation protects it against dust, rain, and brief water immersion.
Starlink Mini is now an add-on to Residential plans in the US. The Mini kit costs $599, $100 more than the normal dish, and adding Mini Roam to $120 Residential subscriptions adds $30 per month. According to early-access invites given to select outgoing US Starlink customers, Starlink Mini users get 50GB of mobile data per month and may buy additional for $1 per GB.
