China’s economic recovery is still fragile, official media said on Tuesday.

According to the official Xinhua News Agency, China’s Communist Party (CPC) central committee warned in a communiqué that demand contraction, supply shock, and weakening expectations continue to impact development.

The communiqué was published at the CPC central committee’s second plenary session from Feb. 26 to 28.

Almost 200 central committee members considered a draft of party and state changes for the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC).

The central committee also adopted a leadership candidate list for the first Congress session.

On Sunday, hundreds of Chinese delegates arrive in Beijing for the 14th NPC, an annual legislative gathering.
