On Friday, the Wall Street Journal reported that Samsung Electronics (005930. KS) would not switch its cellphones’ default search engine from Google to Microsoft Corp.’s (MSFT.O) Bing.

Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL.O) shares rose over 1% in premarket trade. Microsoft shares dropped 1%.

The story states that Samsung has halted an internal review to replace Google with Bing on its pre-installed web-browsing app.
