A recent Washington Post-ABC News poll suggested most Americans were not too happy with how Obama is handling the border issue of illegal immigrants flooding into the southern states.

The survey asked respondents’ opinion on how President Obama, Congressional Republicans and the federal government is handling the border issue with Mexico.

Fifty-eight percent of the interviewees, including 54 percent of Hispanics, disapprove of how the President is dealing with the problem.

The last survey question asks people if they support the White House spending $3.7 million on solving the crisis. It turns out 53 percent of the interviewees agree with the spending, which breaks down to 66 percent of Democrats, 51 percent of Independents and 35 percent of Republicans.

While only 3 out of 10 Americans support Obama’s management, Congressional Republicans got even fewer supporters with only 2 out of 10 approval of how they have responded to the crisis. The number clearly shows a partisan divide. Of the 66 percent of total interviewees disapproving of the Republicans in Congress, 85 percent is Democrats.

The poll was conducted from July 9 to 13 by the two media groups. Despite it being a relatively small questionnaire with only 1,016 interviewees, politicians should still be noted of the results.
