Prince Andrew rejected King Charles‘ offer of Prince Harry and Megan’s British residence, according to a Tuesday Sun report.
Charles made this choice following the couple’s devastating claims against Harry’s father, his older brother Prince William, and other royals in his most recent memoir, a Netflix documentary, and many TV appearances, according to the newspaper.
Prince Andrew, the king’s younger brother, was given Frogmore Cottage because of his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein.
However, the newspaper reported that Andrew wishes to remain in his adjacent house.
According to Buckingham Palace, it won’t comment on the story.
Any such negotiations would be a private family affair. However, Harry’s office did not respond right away.
Following their weddings in 2018, Harry and Meghan relocated to Frogmore Cottage on the grounds of the king’s Windsor Castle estate, west of London.
They relocated to California to start new lives and occupations after resigning from their royal responsibilities in 2020, although Frogmore Cottage remained their home in the U.K. Also, they consented to reimburse the taxpayers for the $2.9 million ($2.4 million) spent on the home’s renovations.
Once the pair left, the home was available to Harry’s cousin Eugenie, Andrew’s younger daughter, and her husband; however, the Sun reported that they had already moved out.
Since moving to the United States, Harry and Meghan have sometimes visited Britain. Still, when they have, they had stayed in Frogmore, including last year when they attended events honoring the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
After scathing attacks on the royals and their staff in his book “Spare,” which set records for speed of sales, relations between the couple and the rest of the family have worsened.
The arguments have raised serious questions about Harry’s attendance at his father’s coronation in May.
