Mateusz Jakub Morawiecki is a historian, economist, and politician. Deputy prime minister from 2015 to 2017, Minister of Development from 2015 to 2018, and Minister of Finance from 2016 to 2018. PiS member. Morawiecki started in business.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Friday that Poland has deployed four Leopard tanks to Ukraine and is ready to provide more soon as Western nations back Kyiv a year after Russia invaded.

“Europe and Poland support you. We will stand by Ukraine until Russia is defeated “Morawiecki declared in Kyiv beside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

Warsaw’s devotion to its neighbor has persuaded European partners to provide heavy armaments, including tanks, to Ukraine, a move previously rejected by numerous countries, including Berlin.

Last month, Poland indicated it wanted to reduce Ukrainian Leopard 2 tank training to five weeks.

Morawiecki also demanded tougher EU sanctions against Moscow. The bloc is considering 10th penalties.

“As for the 10th sanction package, we are not happy because it is too soft, too weak … I am in contact with our team and we are pushing our allies to make this package as extensive as possible,” he said.
