Patrick Ambron is the co-founder and CEO of BrandYourself.com. The company assists people to clean up, improve, and protect their online reputation and privacy. The popular features in BrandYourself.com include identification and deletion of old accounts, social media clean-up tools, and dark web scans.

Patrick Ambron is also the founder and CEO of HelloPrivacy, a company that helps people remove their personal details from the web. It also protects their online privacy by offering Software as a Service(SaaS) solutions. The company’s vision “privacy as a service” partner solutions enable enterprises across Antivirus, identity protection, consumer tech, banking, and more.

I studied at Syracuse University, where I got my degree in Bachelor of Arts from the Newhouse School of public communication. Also, I studied two courses: psychology and advertising. Currently, I am the chief executor officer of my two companies. I have strong board members who have enabled my company to run smoothly. Among them is Evan, the Chief Operating Officer, and Pete, the Head of Product Strategy and Design.

Founding Software Company

My partners and I worked for three years on launching the company in 2009. We created the company soon after our graduation. The business Idea came up after Pete’s phone was attacked online by a blackhat hacker. He had the issue of being mistaken with a criminal on an online platform. Pete could not get a quote from anyone for under $25k in the industry. This made us realize that online reputation management is an important need.

Luckily, I was invited to the Shark Tank where I could secure some venture capitalist. I took my business to the ABC’s Shark Tank show and turned down an offer of $2m. I also received four offers, which added up to the largest evaluation ever given on the show when I appeared on the BBC’s Dragons den. Additionally, I turned out as the subsidiary of BrandYourself, the top provider of online reputation management software.

Becoming a Mentor

I speak about online privacy, online reputation, and my ongoing process in building BrandYourself. I am a mentor at the Cooper Union in NYC and an instructor at General Assembly. Also, I give lectures at universities like Columbia and the University of Pennsylvania.

I consult with other companies on projects that are outside BrandYourself’s usual range of services. BrandYourself projects take most of my time. I have been an advisor and a mentor through the Syracuse Student Sandbox and the Blackstone LaunchPad powered by TechStar.

It is not an easy duty to start a business and take it to the top. I developed the second company after three years and launched three unsuccessful projects. But, in your business line, you should always keep an eye on the market and come up with something that will benefit the people. Now, BrandYourself.com has spent only $100,000 and made approximately $40 million,

Proove your value

To a young Patrick Ambron you should always prove your value. Unfortunately, most companies offer only a description of their services and want their customers to pay for everything before testing their products. For my company, I opted for a different approach. We made a lot of free tools, explanations, and guides and offered them to customers. With this, we did not invest a lot of money in marketing strategies, but instead, we left our service to speak for us. This attracted people and proved how important our product is.

The hellowPrivacy company assists people increase user engagement, retention, conversation, and revenue. A brand earns by helping its employees or customers protect their privacy on the web. We have expanded our offerings to protect people from different kinds of online threats like negative Google results and online identity scams. The company has grown, and we have two offices in New York and Paris. To add to that, we have over 100 employees and hopes to invent tools to assist people.
