According to a statement made on Wednesday by the U.S. auto safety commission, 77,131 Nissan vehicles are currently under preliminary review due to reports of a problem with the steering tie rod.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that it will be conducting an inquiry into Nissan’s 2021 Rogue crossover models. The investigation was initiated in response to reports of steering control issues caused by inner tie rod failures.
According to the agency, the evaluation will determine the extent, frequency, and source of the alleged problem as well as any safety-related repercussions.
Following complaints of side airbag deployments inadvertently in approximately 75,000 2015 Nissan Rogue Selects, the agency launched a separate inquiry into these vehicles in June.
