OpenAI created ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer), a chatbot that became life in November 2022. It has been improved (a transfer learning method) by utilizing supervised and reinforcement learning strategies. It is based on the OpenAI GPT-3 family of big language models.

On November 30, 2022, ChatGPT was introduced as a prototype. It soon gained popularity for its thorough and clear responses in various subject areas. Yet, a fundamental flaw was found to be its inconsistent factual correctness.
With the introduction of ChatGPT, OpenAI was valued at $29 billion in 2023, according to estimates.

Though he had fantasized about it, Brett Schickler had never before considered the possibility of becoming a published novelist. But, after finding out about the ChatGPT artificial intelligence initiative, Schickler believed he had been given a chance.

“The concept of writing a book finally appeared conceivable,” said Schickler, a salesperson in Rochester, New York. Finally, finally, I believed, “I can accomplish this.”

Schickler produced a 30-page illustrated children’s e-book in a couple of hours using the AI program, which can produce text blocks from straightforward instructions and made it available for purchase through Amazon.com Inc.’s (AMZN.O) self-publishing division in January.

Schickler is driving a push to test ChatGPT, which launched in November and shocked Silicon Valley and beyond with its astonishing ability to write coherent blocks of text immediately.

As of mid-February, ChatGPT was an author or co-author of over 200 Kindle publications, including “How to Write and Generate Content Using ChatGPT,” “The Power of Homework,” and “Echoes of the Cosmos.” Daily growth. Amazon has a new subgenre: ChatGPT-written books on using ChatGPT.

Yet, ChatGPT’s nature and many writers’ refusal to acknowledge its use make it practically difficult to determine how many e-books AI creates.

Alphabet Inc (GOOGL.O) and Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O) have rushed to add AI-powered features to Google and Bing, respectively.

While investors pour money into AI-focused enterprises, ChatGPT has given IT corporations fresh purpose amid significant layoffs. For example, Microsoft’s Bing search engine was lauded last month after integrating with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT learns to write by scanning millions of pages of text, raising authenticity problems. CNET stopped using AI after several errors and plagiarism.
