Ohio metals facility explodes, local media reported.

Witnesses told local media that an explosion at an Ohio metals facility on Monday caused a fire and smoke to rise.

Firefighters sprayed water on the destroyed factory 15 miles (24 km) southeast of Cleveland in video from the incident.

The explosion at Bedford’s I Schumann & Co. metals mill caused a fire that called for fire agencies from Cleveland and Akron, WKYC reported, citing witnesses.

At least one injured individual would be helicoptered away, according to WOIO.

Company representatives were unavailable for comment.

According to its website, the company has made copper, brass, and bronze alloys since 1917.
