North Korea Demolishes anti-U.S. Propaganda.

Listen to the article now

In North Korea, anti-U.S. propaganda is currently being siphoned out of the country.

For years, Kim Jong-un and his family have been brainwashing North Koreans into thinking that the United States is evil. Propaganda posters have depicted the U.S as a “rotten, diseased, pirate nation”. After summits with South Korea and the U.S, Kim has decided to take down these hateful messages.

Back in April Kim Jong-un signed a declaration with South Korean President Moon Jae-in promising their people the unification of countries. The meeting took place at the Peace House in Panmunjeom and declared that there will be no war on the Korean Peninsula.

Rowan Beard, a tour manager at Young Pioneer Tours, stated that “all the anti-American posters I usually see around Kim II-sung Square and at shops, they’ve all just gone. In five years working in North Korea, I’ve never seen them completely disappear before.”

The North Korea-United States summit took place on June 12th and was the first time that any U.S president has met with a leader of North Korea. Since the summit, news outlets have been hammering Trump for saying things about Kim. When Trump was asked about what surprised him the most about Kim, he said this:

“Great personality and very smart. Good combination. He’s a worthy negotiator, absolutely. And we had a terrific day, and we learned a lot about each other and about our countries. I also learned that he loves his country very much”.

Many are outraged about Trump’s comments about Kim, who, in the past, has killed his family members and has starved his people.

While some believe the summit was unsuccessful, others think that peace with North Korea is near.

So, what exactly is the North Korean-U.S. agreement?

According to NBC, the agreement between the U.S and North Korea declares 4 things:

  1. “The United States and the DPRK commit to establishing new US-DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity”
  1. “The United States and the DPRK will join their efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula”
  2. “Reaffirming the April 27, 2018, Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula”
  3. “The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains, including the immediate repatriation of those already identified”

The removal of anti-U.S. propaganda gives us evidence that the agreement between Trump and Kim will bring about peace and prosperity.
