Reuters witnesses said Kyiv citizens sought shelter in metro stations as explosion clouds and smoke trails blanketed the sky.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported blasts in central Kyiv and emergency services. He advised sheltering.
Emergency services reacted to a call in the capital’s center. Kyiv’s siege continues. “Don’t leave the shelters!” he posted on Telegram as citizens fled to metro station shelters.
Russia launched hundreds of missiles and drones on sites nationwide in the early hours of Monday.
