Musk says Twitter will limit tweet reading. Executive Chair Elon Musk posted on Saturday that Twitter limits how many tweets users can read daily to deter “extreme levels” of data scraping and system manipulation.

Musk claimed confirmed users could read 6,000 posts daily, 600 unverified and 300 unverified new.

Musk on Friday described Twitter’s requirement that users have an account to view tweets as a “temporary emergency measure.”

Musk claimed hundreds of firms were “extremely aggressively” mining Twitter data, affecting user experience.

Musk previously criticized OpenAI, ChatGPT’s owner, for utilizing Twitter data to train their huge language models.

The social media site had previously attempted to woo back advertisers who abandoned Twitter under Musk’s control and raise subscription revenue by adding verification check marks to Twitter Blue.
