Twitter owner Elon Musk announced Friday that verified content providers would be paid $5 million for adverts in their replies.
“Note, the creator must be verified and only ads served to verified users count,” tweeted Musk, who bought Twitter last October.
After Tesla (TSLA.O) CEO Elon Musk acquired Twitter, advertisers have been suspicious of placing their advertising after the firm laid off thousands of people.
Twitter’s new CEO, Linda Yaccarino, is an advertising veteran from NBCUniversal.
Musk claimed in March that the messaging service makes 5 or 6 cents per hour of user attention and might make 15 cents or more with more relevant and timely ads.
