London has quickly become the best place to meet a millionaire. The capital of England is home to more millionaires than New York and Tokyo. In order to estimate wealth, the recent study considered publicly available company account information and luxury goods including yachts, property, art and private jets.
According to experts, a startling one in 35 people – 395,600, is a millionaire. Many attribute London’s popularity and reputation for high livability to its thriving economy. Andrew Amolis, head of research at the New World Wealth consultancy, said, “”London is an international city and attracts wealthy people from all over the world. It is the main financial center in Europe and for wealthy people it is one of the best places to live in the world.”

Nonetheless, Hong Kong wears the crown with the most multi-millionaires in the world, followed by New York. London ranks third in this statistic. Another factor that’s worth consideration is London’s high intake of millionaires that visit for the summer.
The United Kingdom as a whole has been measured as the super-rich capital of the world, with more than 100 billionaires living there for the first time. London alone accounts for 72 billionaires. The number of millionaires in the world has grown 58% in the last 10 years. Multi-millionaires have grown at a higher rate at 71%.
