On Thursday, Kosovo’s president Vjosa Osmani said Serbia must stop destabilizing Kosovo to end the bloodshed in the north.

“The challenge comes from Serbia, a country that still needs to come to terms with its past,” Osmani told Reuters on the margins of a European meeting in Moldova.

The situation is tense, but we must restore the rule of law in Kosovo and recognize that Serbia’s denial of Kosovo’s sovereignty is a threat.

Osmani claimed Serbia was aiding “illegal structures” in Kosovo to destabilize the country.

“President Vucic needs to stop supporting criminal gangs if he truly wants peace,” she stated. “He hasn’t shown that.”
