Kohl’s announces that stores will be open for 107 hours straight starting on December 20 through December 24: non-stop shopping anyone? 107 hours may seem like a lot, but it’s sixty-three hours less than last year.
Apparently last year the 170-hour streak proved to be underwhelming all around, and the company entered 2016 behind on margins. However, Black Friday brought record-breaking sales, so the idea for the Christmas season is to jam-pack as many sales as possible into a shorter period of time.
With fierce competitors like J.C. Penney and Macy’s, Kohl’s has to be on a new level—like Drake, you know? Seriously, though, retailers are calling this the “most promotional season since the recession.”
Kohl’s has stepped up to the plate, and, quite frankly, they’ve hit a grand slam with all of the sales and promotions they’re offering. How do I know this? The information is so accessible, and everything is organized on the homepage of the site. Currently, the company is offering a slew of deals:
- Free standard shipping with a $50 purchase
- Free store pickup when buying online
- 20% off a purchase of $100 or more
- 15% off any purchase less than $100
- Earn $10 Kohl’s cash for every $50 spent
- Open a Kohl’s card and get 30% off entire purchase
- Extra 15% off fine and silver jewelry
I mean…what more could you want?
