Throughout this year Katy Perry, 29, has truly validated just how cool she can be. Her hit song “Dark Horse” with Juicy J showed her capacity to diverge from her typical, bubble-gum pop princess image. Now, she’s causing a commotion over a cover photoshoot for V-Magazine with Madonna, 55. The pop duo pose in various S&M type poses and leather ensembles exhibiting a dominatrix esque scene.
On Mon., May 8, Perry posted a preview of this shoot to her twitter account, tweeting, “Mmmmm my baby’s got a secret” with a photo of her crawling on the ground towards a woman’s stiletto. Madonna also posted a teaser with the caption, “V magazine got me like. Kneel down for what??????? @vmagazine This week. #artforfreedom #unapologeticbitch.”The daringly sensual photoshoot was styled by Arianne Phillips.
When compared to Miley Cyrus, Perry defensively claimed to V-Magazine, “I haven’t gone that far yet”, but then she turned to Madonna and stated, “but maybe under your great mentorship I might reach that point.”
Madonna has certainly reinforced her position in the spotlight, especially due to her recent works with impressive artists such as Avicii and Diplo.
The two starlets instantly hit it off and bonded during the shoot. Madonna stated, “People always expect when two divas get together that there might be weird vibes or a strange competitiveness, but this was nice and easy and fun.”
