Joe Chay is the CEO and the President of Astor & Black. He also owns Bello Verde company. Its headquarters are located in Ohio, US. He has a great passion for finer clothes designs, coming up with men’s creative wear.

Joe Chay established Bello Verde in 2012 to act as a private label. They manufacture high-quality garments. In addition, they offer other men’s accessories that might match the type of designs.

The entrepreneur is an alumnus of Ohio State University, where he studied Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communication. His high school teachers at Bexley have always praised him because of his high notch discipline. Before becoming the CEO of a great brand, Joe Chay has worked in various industries.

Immediately after I graduated from Ohio University, I got a chance to join Astor & Black Custom Clothiers as a CEO. The board trusted my knowledge. I worked around experienced fellows who guided me in one or another step. From 2004-to 2012, I was dedicated to a single company for almost eight years.

In 2012, I decided to try and come up with my fashion designs. So I founded Bello Verde. The business was successful for the nine years I was available. We set up its headquarters in Columbus, US. While being the CEO of Bell Verde in 2014, the Astor & Black Custome Clothier struggled with top leadership. They placed an offer on the table, and I could not resist. I have worked for the company for over eight years since I joined it in the second period. We are still producing top-quality products for our customers.

I believe I have accomplished something that a lot of people could not. My transformation from an employee to an employer was very funny. Let me take you back to 2011 before resigning from Astor & Black. The company got an offer from private investors, and the board decided to sell it. The headquarters were moved from Ohio to Pembroke in Florida. If I made that move, I realized we could leave a large market gap in Columbus. Many clients could not get their awesome products within the required time. After brainstorming, I decided to move along with the company to complete the setup process.

In 2012, I decided to quit my job to focus on my brand. We launched the Bello Verde Costume Clothing Line. At that moment, I was connected with over a thousand customers. It was an easy task breaking into the market. Bello Verde has become profitable since the day we set up. We dint spend much on marketing.

In 2013, Astor & Black Custom Tailored Suits in Florida ran bankrupt. My company was growing fast. We absorbed customers from Florida. Within a single year, I had raised almost $400,000, which I spent purchasing everything that belonged to Astor & Black. It’s very awkward to buy your employer’s company. But I was ready to bring the company to its normal operation. So I set up its main branch back in Ohio.

I was invited to the Shark Tank to break down how I came up with Bello Verde. The company attracted hundreds of investors but could only sell a few shares.

Being the CEO of two companies is sometimes tiresome. You need to scale down and balance between the two jobs. The job was overwhelming, and in 2018, I dropped one seat to focus on Astor & Black fully.

We tailor a single suite from $699-$18,000 depending on the client’s expectation and material. If you need a design from scratch, we will take all the required measurements, and we promise to deliver within a few days. I believe customers should always be the priority. They have been faithful to our products that’s why we offer a large discount to some of them.

To a younger Joe Chay, look at the bigger picture before taking any steps. The journey to becoming your boss might be stressful during the early stages, but as time goes by, you will enjoy it. Stay focused and make more friends. Turn your clients into long-term friends.
