News and media outlets have been flooding the public eye with information about Jeremy Meeks, the man who has been glorified for his good-looking mug shot. All of the coverage has put Meeks in the spotlight and made his appearance quite a hot topic.
The mugshot has gone viral and landed Meeks some modeling attention. A career in modeling doesn’t look promising, but he has a shot at some industry work, according to some of New York’s top agency members.
“I think he has an interesting look, but it’s not long-term,” said Allen Osborne, head of the men’s division at One Management, according to ABC News.
Any sort of modeling is a plus – especially when it’s that unexpected. In a recent interview with ABC News, Meeks expressed his appreciation for the unforeseen fame. When the photo hit the Stockton Police Department Facebook page, there appeared to be more than just secret admirers. “Momma, I’m in love with a criminal,” someone wrote. Border Chronicle reported that there were 100,000 others who “liked” the picture.
Blaze Modelz is one company that is highly optimistic about Meeks’ future. They recently told TMZ that “gangster models” are in high demand right now and “they could book Meeks with high-end fashion houses like Versace and Armani for anywhere between $15,000 to $30,000 a month,” according to Extra TV.
Fox reported that Meeks has received modeling and reality TV show offers since being in prison. The only question now is if and when he is released from jail, will his modeling fame have already faded? Only time will tell.
