On Wednesday, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said that the government will strive to remedy the European Union ban on the sale of new gasoline and diesel vehicles beginning in 2035. She stated that the decision was illogical and that the government would try to fix the prohibition.
Meloni was delivering a speech in the Chamber of Deputies, which is the lower house of parliament, in advance of a summit of the European Union that will take place in Brussels later this week.
