Israel says the Gaza border has been secured after another night of air strikes. After another night of continuous Israeli airstrikes on the enclave, Israel declared on Tuesday that it had regained control of the Gaza border and was laying mines where Hamas fighters had destroyed the barrier during their murderous weekend assault.

After Hamas promised to kill an Israeli hostage each time Israel targeted a Palestinian home without prior notice, Israel launched its most recent wave of airstrikes. Along with imposing a blockade on the Gaza Strip and calling up an unprecedented 300,000 reserve soldiers, the Israeli military also caused concerns that it was planning a ground invasion in response to the most daring and deadliest Hamas raid in decades.

More than 1,500 people have died due to the bloodshed, which has led to worldwide pledges of support for Israel, public demonstrations in favor of the Palestinians, and cries for a halt to the fighting and the protection of civilians.

Israeli T.V. stations reported that 900 Israelis had died from the Hamas onslaught, with at least 2,600 injuries and hundreds of hostages. 260 Israelis, most of whom were young, were killed during a music event in the desert, where some of the captives had been taken.

Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, the top military spokesperson, claimed there had been no additional infiltrations from Gaza since Monday in statements carried by Israel’s Army Radio. He said the military had found no evidence of gunmen using cross-border tunnels, perhaps in reaction to the rumors.

On Monday, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that since Hamas assaults on Saturday, at least 687 Palestinians had died, and 3,726 had been injured due to Israeli airstrikes on the blockaded region.

According to media sources and eyewitnesses, the strikes also destroyed several roads and homes, as well as apartment buildings, a mosque, and hospitals. Additionally, Israel struck the private Palestinian Telecommunication Co.’s headquarters, which may impact landline, internet, and mobile phone services. On Monday, the attacks persisted well into the night. According to the Israeli military, it attacked Hamas positions along Gaza’s shoreline and a weapons stockpile it said belonged to Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip.

The threat to kill Israelis among the scores of hostages taken as a result of the surprise attack on Saturday morning was made by Hamas spokesperson Abu Ubaida on Monday. According to him, Hamas will broadcast the execution of one Israeli detainee for each unannounced Israeli attack on a civilian home.

The Israeli military didn’t react to the danger right away. More than 100 persons, according to Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen, were kidnapped by Hamas during the horrific cross-border assault over the weekend.

PUSHED OUT OF HOME

Israeli security personnel reportedly called and left voice messages on Palestinians’ cell phones asking people to avoid certain locations, mostly in the northern and eastern parts of Gaza, since the army would be operating there. In Gaza City’s Remal neighborhood, dozens of residents left their houses.

“We fled with ourselves, our kids, our grandkids, and our daughters-in-law. I can confirm that we were made to flee. We lack security and safety. What really is life? Salah Hanouneh, a 73-year-old resident, remarked, “This is not a life.

Israel’s top military spokesman reported that forces had regained control of overrun areas south of the country where the Hamas offensive occurred. Still, scattered battles persisted as some militants continued to be active.

It was further rumored that Israel would be considering a ground invasion of Gaza, a region it abandoned over 20 years ago when it was revealed that 300,000 reservists had been activated in only two days.

“We have never drafted so many reservists on such a scale,” stated Hagari. “We are going on the offensive.”

Washington, which gives Israel $3.8 billion in military aid annually, announced that it was resupplying Israel with ammunition, air defenses, and other security equipment. The top general of the United States urged Iran to stay out of the conflict and declared that he did not want it to worsen. Iran openly supports Hamas and praised the weekend attack while denying any connection.

“We want to convey a very clear message. General Charles Q. Brown, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told reporters accompanying him to Brussels that the aim was to send Iran a clear message that we did not want things to escalate. According to a statement released by the State Department early on Tuesday, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen about U.S. support for Israel.

Blinken “reaffirmed our efforts to secure the immediate release of all hostages,” the statement read. Nations such as Italy, Thailand, and Ukraine stated that nationals from those countries have died due to Hamas assaults. President Joe Biden said in Washington that at least 11 Americans had died, and it seemed probable that Americans were among those being held hostage.

Defence Minister Yoav Gallant attracted worldwide attention when he announced a strengthened siege to stop food and fuel from accessing the strip, home to 2.3 million people. At the same time, Israel launched ferocious retaliation attacks on Gaza.

According to media linked to Hamas, at least 20 people were reportedly killed in Israeli attacks on homes in the Gaza Strip late on Monday. Two Palestinian journalists were murdered, and a third was critically injured in an Israeli airstrike on a building in Gaza City, according to Palestinian media. Reuters could not immediately verify the reports. The Israeli military was silent right away.

WORLDWIDE RESPONSE

According to UNRWA, the organization that offers vital services to Palestinians, 137,000 people are staying with them, according to U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. In a joint statement, the governments of the United States, Italy, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom recognized the “legitimate aspirations” of the Palestinian people. They backed equal access to justice and freedom for both Israelis and Palestinians.

They said they would continue to be “coordinated and united” so that Israel could protect itself. According to the Egyptian president, Hamas and Israel were urged to immediately halt hostilities and protect civilians by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan.

To attempt and negotiate the release of 36 Palestinian women and children from Israeli jails in exchange for the freeing of Israeli women and children captured by Hamas, Qatari mediators held urgent calls. The possibility that conflict may spread frightened the area and the whole world.

In retaliation for at least three members being murdered during the Israeli bombardment of Lebanon, the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah launched missiles into northern Israel. Israel claimed that during a previous cross-border assault from Lebanon, one of their deputy commanders was killed.
