Iran claims Ukraine’s president criticizes drones to get Western armaments. Tehran accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy of anti-Iranian propaganda in his appeal for Iran to stop supplying drones to Russia on Saturday.

In a Wednesday video, Zelenskiy urged Iranians to supply Moscow with drones to avoid “the dark side of history.”

Iran later admitted to delivering a few Shahid drones to Russia before the battle. Ukraine claims Russia’s drone assaults on towns and infrastructure were serious.
“The Ukrainian president’s repeat of delusional claims against the Islamic Republic of Iran is in line with the anti-Iranian propaganda and media war aimed at attracting as many arms and financial aid as possible from Western countries,” Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said in a statement carried by Iranian media.

Kanaani said Ukraine had blocked an impartial inquiry into these charges.

Russia has increased military collaboration with Iran following its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. It admits to utilizing Iranian drones but wants to increase production.
“The simple question is this: what is your interest in being an accomplice to Russian terror?” Zelenskiy stated Wednesday.

“Your Shaheds, which terrorise Ukraine every night, mean only that the people of Iran are being driven deeper and deeper into the dark side of history,” he remarked.
