Late Wednesday, Hungary’s agriculture minister proposed EUDeutsche Bank will reduce staff and board. restrictions on Ukrainian eggs, poultry, and honey.

On Wednesday, the European Commission took “preventive measures” for wheat, maize, sunflower seeds, and rapeseed following a late March complaint from Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia.

Poland and Hungary banned Ukrainian imports last weekend. Eastern Europe proposed similar measures.

“We also have to apply restrictions on eggs, poultry, and honey coming into the EU from Ukraine,” Istvan Nagy stated on Facebook.

Nagy told state news agency MTI that Hungary would allow Ukrainian grain movement “in a controlled manner.”

Nagy discussed import ban products late Wednesday, according to MTI.

“It was worthwhile for Hungary to take firm action and protect the interests of Hungarian farmers,” he said, adding that Brussels responded to the embargo.

An EU official said Ukrainian grains could only enter the five countries for export to other EU members or the world. Through June.

On Wednesday, Poland’s Agriculture Minister Robert Telus said Brussels negotiations would start next week.

Russia’s incursion prevented Ukraine’s Black Sea ports from exporting grain.

Due to bottlenecks, local farmers had to compete with inexpensive Ukrainian wheat.
