Humane, a world-changing AI startup! What if I told you a hidden startup is quietly developing the next IT paradigm? Many extremely talented and experienced visionaries power this company, which you’ve probably never heard of.
This group is Humane. Ambient computing solutions, or “the best human experience, ever,” are their focus. It sounds like Nothing’s early marketing but with better intentions.
Honestly, the public doesn’t know much about their roadmap or what they’re building. So, after searching for over a year, I’m here to tell you why they’re a firm you must watch and what I’ve found.
In 2017, Imran Chaudri and Bethany Bongiorno left Apple to start Humane. Imran and Bethany worked on groundbreaking technical initiatives. They were crucial to the iPod, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and more!
They have a strong staff of over 140 people, 60 of whom have over 420 years of combined expertise from one of the most influential and inventive technological firms, Apple!
Humane has an incredible talent and knowledge base. I may be foolish, but I believe their team can achieve their goals.

With no products, Humane’s investors are a cause to believe.
Sam Altman (Former Y-Combinator & Current CEO of OpenAI), Lachy Groom (Former Stripe), Marc Benioff (Founder of Salesforce), SoftBank Group, Qualcomm Ventures LLC, and others invested in the two rounds. That’s a powerful lineup.
Humane raised 130M between Series A and B. “This was maybe the coolest product demo I’ve ever seen,” tweeted investor Lachy Groom after seeing a product demo.
This is when things become fascinating, and you see what they may be making. I’ll briefly explain Humane’s four submitted patents (listed below):
- Wearable Multimedia Device and Cloud Computing Platform with Application Ecosystem
- Portable battery pack for wirelessly charging body-worn devices through clothing
- Wearable multimedia device and cloud computing platform with a laser projection system
These first three patents appear to be for one hardware device. For a device that magnetically clings to garments and charges through a small power bank to passively deliver pertinent information.
Multiple wide FOV cameras and many sensors capture and interpret the world around you. In addition, this gadget may allow transactions. The third patent’s laser projection technology may display the app ecosystem on a passive interface like a hand.
This seems great, but I’m worried about how they’ll communicate and handle privacy problems and the components’ expensive cost.
Surprise time! Twitter leaked this. Please don’t trust this because I couldn’t find a source. However, this leak resembles the patents above and may reveal Humane’s plans.
This is a more natural way for couples to get pregnant or not while women stay in touch with their menstrual cycles. This device will also notify you of issues as they arise. The Apple Watch has been touted to monitor health and detect issues before they occur.
Humane also owns fifteen trademarks. They repeat their corporate name, branding, values, and statements.
The company’s quiet, focused work is pleasant. The crew seems to share the company’s principles of trust, honesty, and joy and its objective of producing passive, natural, and human technology. I’m enthusiastic about Humane’s future and its impact on society, but they’ll have to overcome major privacy, pricing, and trust issues.
Humane is uniquely positioned to lead the “Intelligence Age” and bridge the “Information Age.” Ignoring their great roster, backing, team experience, and ambitious aspirations, you’d be a fool.
Let’s see if they create the finest human experience!
