Honda will recall over 2.5 million US vehicles (NHTSA). According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the American division of Honda Motor (7267.T) is recalling around 2.5 million cars due to the possibility of fuel pump failure. This failure can result in the engine stalling while the vehicle is being driven, increasing the likelihood of an accident.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), dealers will repair the fuel pump module at no cost to remedy the issue.

Specific versions of the Japanese automaker’s most popular vehicles are included in the recall. These models include the Honda Accord, Civic, CR-V, HR-V, Ridgeline, Odyssey, and other Acura models. The recall is effective from 2018 to 2020.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that the gasoline pump inside the fuel tank may malfunction. By February of the following year, it is anticipated that owner notice letters will be issued.

If Honda recalls more than 2.5 million cars in the United States, it is essential to be aware that recalls are usually conducted to address any safety concerns. These recalls may involve a variety of components or systems within the cars that might threaten the safety of the drivers, passengers, or other people who use the roads.

The announcement was made the day after the recall was issued on about 106,030 CR-V hybrid cars due to the potential for fire or injury in the event of a collision brought on by an overheated battery cable or a short circuit.
