The Irizzary family was celebrating the ninth wedding anniversary of Ommy and his wife Rebecca at Caspersen Beach in Venice, Florida. According to the Associated Press, their daughter, Oceana Irizzary, died early morning from injuries suffered two days before, when she and her father were walking along the sand and came into contact with a crashing aircraft that had lost power. Oceana’s father, Ommy Irizarry, 36, died at the scene on Sunday.

A witness informed the dispatcher on a 911 call about Oceana’s condition, saying, “She’s breathing a little right now. Rapid pulse and difficult breathing. She’s unconscious,” ABC reported.

The pilot was identified as Karl Kokomoor, 57, and the only passenger was David Theen, 60. Both were not injured from the incident.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the plane crash.
