Wendy Colson is an International Board Certified Consultant and a registered nurse from San Diego. She is interested in helping breastfeeding moms get the best service possible. Colson has worked as an IBCLC for over 18 years and as a mother-baby nurse for over 26 years.

Wendy Colson is a proud member of the International Lactation Consultant Association, where she learned a lot from experienced fellows. While working with IBCLC, she also engaged with bright minds worldwide. The organization is free, where people share their experiences within their motherhood period. As a result, they help impose self-confidence in young mothers, especially those getting their first babies.

After school, I got an opportunity to join the Hygeia company as a senior lactation Consultant. It was a nice experience, but I only worked for a year before resigning. That’s when Sharp grabbed my skills to become a board member of the Lactation team. So for almost seven years, I was doing my research with Sharp HealthCare. At the same time, California university students were on my back, asking for my advice. For sure, I enjoyed staying in an institution when am not working.

In 2011, I decided to set up my first company, Latching with Love, Breastfeeding Centre. Its headquarters are in North County in San Diego. Last year, we celebrated a ten-year successful business that society appreciates well. Within the same year, through a friend, I got an idea about boosting young mothers’ energy during breastfeeding. However, I wanted a good solution with zero side effects on mothers.

That’s how I managed to form Colson Health Inc, our main goal being to support mothers and their babies to have a better life. In general, moms are always the busiest people on the planet. But, sometimes, they need a peaceful life with innovative things to improve their life. So, every day am working on research to get a new product that will improve their life.

We have managed to supply our product in over 300 retail shops in the United States. That’s a great improvement because the orders keep on the increase. It feels awesome when I see a young female appreciating my product.

We decided to move our headquarters to Encinitas, in California. I have the best team who are also innovative. Our ingredients compose of :
turmeric, which supports the growth of breast tissues. This will then aid in the flow of milk.
Moringa is a plant with a lot of potassium for body nutrients. Coconut oil is also one of the best ingredients which contain optimum fat for anti-microbial.
Organic Shatavari a nutrition ingredient that aid in the reproductive system of mothers.

There are different ways in which companies form. For example, Bobie Bars became what it is now because I was only conducting a free community breastfeeding group. The group had the name Milk & Cookies, and I had no intentions of coming up with such an organization. However, in between the meeting, certain mother asked the best food to consume during breastfeeding moments. I proposed to her some of the supplementary nutrients, but I had no perfect answer in a real sense. That’s when I decided to develop a single product with all the required nutrients.

To a younger Wendy Colson, find something helpful to society and work to achieve your goals. There are a lot of business ideas, but before you think of revenue, start by helping the final consumers first.
