Eve (EVEX.N) and Blade Air Mobility (BLDE.O) said Monday that they would incorporate Eve’s flying car into Blade’s European route network, starting with France.
The Paris Airshow-attending corporations have already signed deals to utilize Eve’s eVTOLs in India and the U.S.
Embraer (EMBR3.SA), which controls Eve, aims to launch its vehicle in 2026.
Eve and Blade claimed that under their new memorandum of cooperation, Blade would create realistic air transportation solutions and discover additional routes in France and other European nations.
They did not disclose if Blade, which operates conventional helicopters between Nice and Monaco, will buy new eVTOLs.
Eve and Blade signed a statement of intent last year to deploy 200 electric aircraft in India and 60 automobiles annually in the U.S.
“Extending our partnership with Eve underscores Blade’s commitment to leading the transition from conventional to electric vertical aircraft,” Blade CEO Rob Wiesenthal said.
Eve, financed by United Airlines (UAL.O) and Rolls-Royce (RR.L), had approximately 2,800 orders before manufacturing.
The company announced its initial eVTOL equipment suppliers and planned to build its full-scale prototype in the second half. 2024 testing is scheduled.
Eve CEO Andre Stein said the extended cooperation with Blade would allow the firms to combine expertise and resources to make travel more accessible and environmentally friendly.
Blade bought Monacair, Heli Securite, and Azur Helicoptere’s charter and scheduled flight operations last year, calling them “crucial” for Eve’s technical and commercial conversations.
