Eugene Levy’s Walk of Fame Ceremony Draws American Pie Stars Back
Actor Eugene Levy, known for his roles in “American Pie” and “Schitt’s Creek,” celebrated the unveiling of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame alongside his on-screen and real-life families. Levy, who co-created “Schitt’s Creek” with his son Daniel, accepted the honor with his wife and on-screen wife Catherine O’Hara, and his real-life daughter Sarah Levy, who also starred in the Emmy-winning show.
Notably, Levy’s son Daniel, a key collaborator on “Schitt’s Creek,” couldn’t attend the ceremony as he was filming in Bulgaria. In a light-hearted remark, Levy joked that it sounded like a plot “right out of Schitt’s Creek.” The ceremony also saw the presence of actor Jason Biggs, whom Levy affectionately referred to as his “second son” from their time together on “American Pie.”
Levy, who portrayed Noah Levenstein in the iconic 1999 film “American Pie” and its sequels, expressed gratitude for the recognition on Hollywood Boulevard. He humorously noted that receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is about as far from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, as one can get. Levy reflected on his career, acknowledging the joy of making people laugh throughout his life.
During the ceremony, O’Hara praised Levy as “a gentleman in every sense of the word” and highlighted his contributions to original, thought-provoking, heartfelt, and hilariously entertaining content over the years. Levy took a moment to pay tribute to his wife, Deborah Divine, stating that having one’s name on a star in Hollywood wouldn’t be possible without someone having their back, and Debs had his for 47 years.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony marked a significant moment in Eugene Levy’s illustrious career, celebrating his enduring impact on the entertainment industry and his contributions to beloved projects such as “American Pie” and “Schitt’s Creek.”
