On Saturday, EU foreign policy head Josep Borrell denounced Israel-Palestinian violence and urged for calm throughout the religious holidays.

Israeli-Palestinian tensions heightened Friday after a vehicle ramming in Tel Aviv killed an Italian tourist and injured five others.

“Israel can defend. Answers must be proportionate. EU wants immediate peace. Ending the fight demands all “Borrell said.

“We advise all parties to display maximum patience, prevent further escalation, and promote calm for the ongoing holy holidays,” he said.

Ramadan, Passover, and Easter are this month.
