After a preliminary investigation, EU antitrust regulators will decide by Aug. 7 whether to approve Adobe’s (ADBE.O) $20 billion purchase of cloud-based designer platform Figma.

Adobe requested EU permission for Photoshop last Friday. A request made a month before the summer holidays shows the corporation expects the EU competition watchdog to launch a full-scale investigation after the first assessment.

The Commission warned earlier this year that the purchase could severely impact interactive product design and whiteboarding software competition.

Zoom Video Communications (ZM.O), Airbnb (ABNB.O), and Coinbase (COIN.O) use Figma’s online design and brainstorming platform.

Britain’s competition watchdog told Adobe a week to remedy its concerns or risk a wider investigation on Friday.
