The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, assured the more than 40 European leaders meeting in Spain that America would continue to stand by them and requested their continuing support and more weapons to aid him in his battle against Russian aggression.
Zelenskiy claimed in a passionate address that schoolchildren in Kharkiv, east Ukraine, were doing courses online or underground in subway stations due to air attacks.
He said that children cannot attend school until there is a fully functional air defense system during the European Political Community meeting held in Granada, Spain, around 4,000 kilometers west of Kharkiv.
He expressed certainty in ongoing American assistance despite what he called a recent “political storm.” after that, money to Ukraine was excluded from a last-minute congressional agreement to avert a government shutdown.
“I have faith in America. They have strong institutions, strong people, and a robust democracy,” he declared.
Vladimir Putin should not be let to strengthen his military, according to Zelenskiy, or else Russia might launch an invasion outside of Ukraine by 2028.
Let neither our nations nor our cities suffer due to Putin’s objectives. Every nation’s children have a right to safety. Not only in underground shelters or the metro but anywhere nationwide. It must be made feasible by us. We must make sure Ukraine triumphs.
