  • Using data to make the customer experience better
  • Making a plan to keep customers coming back
  • Managing processes in an innovative and efficient way
  • What it takes to run and grow a business in this digital age

Separate Meetings

These smaller, more focused sessions will cover a wide range of topics, allowing people to learn more about the ones most important to their jobs and companies.

The main goal of breakout meetings is to give people a chance to talk, share their experiences, and learn from each other.

These sessions cover many topics, from learning about what customers want and making marketing plans to hacking growth and making things more efficient.

Events for networking

Attendees can make valuable connections with peers, mentors, and possible partners through different networking events.

Twelve thousand seven hundred fifty mentorship links were made, and 1,931 braindates and mentorship sessions occurred last year.

Different Speakers

What to Do and Not Do at SaaStr Annual

Going to a big gathering (or, in this case, a “festival”) can be overwhelming, so it’s important to know what to do and what not to do.

Make sure you have a great time at this year’s SaaStr Annual by following these tips:

How to Pack

Bring clothes and shoes that are easy to walk and stand in because the event has a lot of classes.

In the fall, San Francisco gets cold, so bring a light jacket or sweater for the nights and places inside with air conditioning.

Bring business cards with you to make meeting new people and making connections easier.

Bring a water bottle with you so you can stay hydrated all day.

Don’t forget essential things like chargers, power banks, and any plugs your electronics may need.

Remember to bring a legal ID and the ticket you got by email when you signed up.

How to Travel

Please book your flights and hotels early to get the best deals and ensure they are available.

Look into the different ways you can get from the airport to your hotel and the event site.

  • Do get ready for crowds at venues, in the streets, and outside of places. As an event with several thousand people, you can expect traffic when people are leaving.
  • Don’t forget to look at the event website to see if there are any ticket deals or partnerships with nearby hotels.
  • Do not try to rent a car for the event. Because of the traffic, Uber, walking, and public transportation are all better choices.
  • How to Get Ready for a Virtual Experience
  • Ensure your internet and devices work well before the event to have a smooth virtual experience.
  • Please get to know the virtual tool and its features ahead of time.
  • Join the online community—you’ll have many chances to meet new people, even if you can’t attend the event in person.
  • Do not be afraid to contact the event leaders if you need help with technology or have any questions.

Don’t forget to set a reminder for any classes you want to attend.

How to Book a Session

Check out the event schedule beforehand and write down the classes you want to attend.

Choose classes and speakers that are most relevant to your goals and interests.

Don’t forget to sign up for classes that must be reserved beforehand, as they may get full quickly.

Don’t put events too close to each other; give people time to talk to each other, move from one class to the next, and take breaks.

Do not miss the main talks. These crucial speeches by the biggest names in SaaS, entrepreneurship, and corporate business are a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see the best of the best in person.

Get Together

  • Go to the parties to have fun, meet new people, and enjoy the social mood of the event.
  • It’s important to remember to pace yourself since the meeting lasts for several days.
  • How to Network at SaaStr Annual
  • Use brain dates, networking events, and mentorship chances to meet new people.
  • Do develop a short elevator pitch about your business and yourself to help people start talking to you.
  • Stay in touch with new people you met at the event and explore possible business possibilities.
  • Be brave and talk to other people at the event, the speakers, and the dealers.

Stories of Success at SaaStr Annual

One great thing about events like SaaStr is that they bring together business leaders, spark imagination, and motivate people to do well.

Here are some ways that people who went to SaaStr used it to make their businesses bigger:

In InsideScale, they used SaaStr to make a proof of concept for their marketing program. They tested the program at the 2018 SaaStr Annual event and got an invite to the 2019 SaaStr Annual event. This helped them make millions of dollars in ARR. The festival got ten new relationships, and SaaStr’s return on investment was seven times greater. It was a win-win situation for both groups.

In 2020, ClickUp CEO Zeb Evans talked at the SaaStr Annual about how to grow from $0 to $20 million in ARR. It was (and still is) one of the most popular talks at the event. ClickUp’s success was helped because they went to and spoke at the SaaStr Annual. The company is now worth $4 billion.

Sara Varni used a success story from Twilio as an example of how to move from self-service to sales-assisted at the 2020 SaaStr Annual. The company’s sales were up 35% year over year in 2022, two years after she gave one of SaaStr’s ten most popular keynotes.
