How do I use INSEAD?

INSEAD is one of the best college business schools in the world. It has campuses in France, Singapore, San Francisco, and Abu Dhabi in the Middle East. The Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires, or INSEAD, has existed since 1957.

InsEAD is now known worldwide as one of the best business schools. There are 165 professors at the school from 42 different countries, and more than 1,500 students enroll in its different degree programs each year. Many business leaders also attend the school every year to take part in its executive education classes.

The History of INSEAD

When the Paris Chamber of Commerce chose to open a business school in Europe in 1955, INSEAD was born. After four years, it had its first MBA students. Fifty-two people from 14 countries graduated from the school’s MBA program in 1960. The first time INSEAD’s executive school was put on was in 1968. The Ph.D. program at the school began in 1989.

The school’s branch in Asia opened in 2000 in Singapore, and its branch in the Middle East opened in 2010 in Abu Dhabi. INSEAD announced in 2020 that it would open a new hub in San Francisco, California, to expand its reach in North America.

Campuses of INSEAD

The school’s main campus in France is in Fontainebleau, which is close to Paris. The second campus is in Singapore, in the Buona Vista area, 15 minutes from the financial district. It is in Asia. 2010 the third school opened in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.

The Programs That INSEAD Offers

InsEAD has many graduate and doctoral options to choose from. In addition to the courses listed below, the school also works with businesses that want to give their managers executive education to create custom programs.

MBA

If you want an MBA from INSEAD, you can start in January or August and finish in 10 months. Students must take core topics like economics, finance, accounting, business ethics, and marketing as part of their education. They must also choose from 75 different electives. About 94% of graduates had jobs in their field three months after graduation.

MBA for Global Executives

For leaders with a lot of experience, the school offers this program in France, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore. The program lasts for 14 to 17 months and is very intense. It has group coaching, team activities, and 360-degree assessments. There are usually 222 students in a GEMBA class, and each has worked for an average of 14 years.

Master of Change for the Executive

This course lasts 18 months and is broken into eight units lasting three to four days. Students learn about how people behave and how organizations work. The program aims to help people become more self-aware, learn new ways to coach, become more successful change agents in the workplace, and better understand how organizations work. There are usually 30 people in an EMC class in France and Singapore.

Master of Finance for Executives

This 18-month training is for people who are already working. The Asia Center is where people start. There are six modules in the training, and each one lasts two weeks. They happen three to four months apart. An average EMFIN has 35 people who have worked for an average of 9.5 years.

Executive MBA from Tsinghua and INSEAD

INSEAD and Tsinghua, a university in Beijing, have teamed up to make this school possible. This degree can be earned at Tsinghua or the INSEAD sites in France, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi.

Ph.D. in business

The most brutal degree given is a five-year program that prepares students for jobs in business or research. Courses are taken during the first two years, and research and paperwork are done during the last three. People can apply from Europe or Asia, and the Wharton School in the US helps with the exchange.

Each year, the school can only take 18 people. Different academic fields are encouraged to work together to make study more in-depth. Students get good financial help in the form of grants and living allowances.

INSEAD also gives a certificate in the basics of business. The INSEAD-Sorbonne University Certificate Program is for people who just got their master’s or doctoral degree.

Does InsEAD stand out from Harvard?

Whether INSEAD or Harvard is a better MBA program depends on the source. At the end of 2023, the Financial Times told them that INSEAD was the second-best MBA school and Harvard was the fourth-best.

How Much Is INSEAD?

The fee to start the program at INSEAD in August 2023 is €97,000. It costs €98,500 to start the school in January 2024. This doesn’t cover the cost of life. The cost of living in France is an extra €25,000.

Is there a school in the Ivy League?

InsEAD is not one of the Ivy League schools. A group of schools in the United States is called the Ivy League. Some schools, like INSEAD, are not in the Ivy League because they are not in the United States.
