China says it will hold a summit with EU leaders to discuss global economic issues. According to a statement released by China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, the China-European Union summit will take place on Thursday in Beijing. During this meeting, the leaders of both sides will address strategic and global economic problems of mutual concern.

“China and Europe are partners, not rivals. Our common interests far outweigh our differences,” Wang Wenbin, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated at a regular news briefing.

A meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping, President Charles Michel of the European Council, and President Ursula von der Leyen of the European Commission is scheduled, according to state-run media reports.

The sustainability of the environment is of the utmost importance, and the debates during the summit highlighted the pledges made toward climate action and sustainable development. Towards the achievement of carbon neutrality targets, the implementation of green technology, and the promotion of renewable energy programs, China and the European Union are exploring potential routes for collaboration.

“We will explore ways to solve problems through dialogue and consultation,” Wang stated, further stating that “we will cooperate to meet global challenges, inject new impetus into the world, and increase stability in the international situation.”

In conclusion, the China-EU Summit is an important platform that serves as a venue for meaningful discourse and strategic collaboration to tackle global economic difficulties. The insights that were gained and the agreements that were reached during these meetings lay the groundwork for a global economic environment that is more linked and resilient.
