More Body Parts Found on Long Island

After body parts were found on Long Island Tuesday and Wednesday, another severed arm was found in a homeowner’s yard.

NBC reported that the third incident took place near the residential area of Stewart Avenue and Cornell Street in Hempstead, just about a half-mile away from Webb Avenue in the same town, where the arm found on Wednesday, July 9.

The body part was taken to the Nassau County medical examiner’s office for examination.

The first body parts were found by two people walking to a ferry on Fire Island.

According to CBS New York, police said investigators looked for connections between the three incidents and believed the body parts belonged to 27-year-old Chinelle Latoya Browne, a missing Brooklyn mother of four since Saturday, July 5.

CBS also reported that it has learned the tattoos found on the body parts discovered Tuesday matched the ones Browne had. However, investigators were still waiting for DNA results.

Police from all three areas, Hempstead, Nassau and Suffolk were investigating the case with Suffolk police taking the lead.
