On Monday, the Wall Street Journal reported that Lyft Inc. (LYFT.O) co-founder Logan Green would replace board member David Risher as CEO.
Company shares increased 5% after the bell.
The article said President John Zimmer and Green would remain board members but not participate in daily operations.
Lyft’s prediction last month raised fears that pricing cuts to compete with Uber (UBER.N) in the North American ride-sharing sector might hurt revenues.
Lyft, Inc. offers ride-hailing, vehicles for hire, motorized scooters, bicycle-sharing, rental cars, and food delivery in the US and Canada.
Logan Green and John Zimmer founded Zimride, a long-distance intercity carpooling company focused on college transport, in 2007 after Green shared rides from the University of California, Santa Barbara campus to visit his girlfriend in Los Angeles and wanted an easier way to share rides. They launched Lyft in the summer of 2012.
