Chinese electric car producer Xpeng Inc (9868. HK) launched City NGP (Navigation Guided Pilot) in Beijing.

Xpeng said City NGP is available in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Beijing, with plans to expand to dozens of cities this year.

Xpeng’s latest rollout makes China’s first Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) available in Beijing’s urban districts and on important ring roads and expressways.

It stated that Xpeng models like G9 Max, P7i Max, and P5 P might access City NGP.

In March, Xpeng announced that it would upgrade its advanced driving assistance software and make all its functionalities available to Chinese drivers by 2024 to compete with Tesla (TSLA.O).
