On Wednesday, Qantas Airways (QAN.AX) named Rob Marcolina its new chief financial officer, replacing Vanessa Hudson, who became the carrier’s first female CEO in May.

Marcolina, group executive of strategy, people, and technology since 2012, will succeed Hudson as CEO in November.

As it expects to add 8,500 local jobs in the next decade, Australia’s flag airline named Chief Customer Officer Markus Svensson, its domestic CEO.

“We have a lot of expansion planned in the years ahead and that will translate into thousands of new frontline jobs and millions of hours of training,” CEO-designate Hudson stated.

The carrier said that Catriona Larritt, its eight-year veteran and former Jetstar chief commercial officer, will become its chief customer and digital officer.
