Adrian Peterson, 33, has signed with the Washington Redskins and the team is looking forward to working with the future Hall of Famer. The $1.015 million contract is a one-year deal with the team. The document was signed on Monday. The Redskins lost two of their backup running backs this off-season and are looking to revamp the running back position.

Peterson tweeted:

In the past, Peterson has been in the negative spotlight. Back in 2014, Peterson was charged with reckless or negligent injury to a child in Montgomery County, Texas. Photos were released of Peterson’s 4-year-old son who had scratches on his legs. As Peterson moves on to a different team, he works to secure his legacy in the NFL and his charitable work.
Peterson has dealt with serious injuries in the past. In 2016, Peterson tore his meniscus and sportsinjurypredictor.com predicts that there is a 57.5% chance of injury during the 2018 season.
The Redskins’ season debut is on Sept. 9th at Arizona.
