Abhas Suman is a popular music producer as well as an artist. He grew up in Kordema town in Jharkhand. After completing high school education, he decided to join the music industry directly.
The teenage boy got recognition at the age of 17 when he acquired a copyright certificate from Youtube. It’s funny that this came before getting his national ID.
Abhas Suman has released some songs with RadioWave company in the Netherlands. ‘KSHMR’s labels ‘Dharma Worldwide’ and ‘‘MAVJAK’ & ‘Mike Waters’ are some of his mentors in the music industry. Abhas Sunam has a passion for music and opts to secure many awards in the future.
While young, I wanted to know how producers make those beats and work with musicians. At first, I used a digital audio workstation to get basic knowledge in the production industry. I was very curious to work on a variety of projects. 4 years later, I saved almost 200 projects on my local disk. As a beginner, most of them were bad, but some could be popular if they go viral.
I realized that I can expose my projects to the entertainment world. Everyone is indeed a dancer, an artist, or a photographer. So, as per my analysis, an artist must work only 30% from the field and the remaining 70% time to use exposing his artistic work to the world. I gave some of my best tracks to popular companies, which returned positive feedback.
On a typical day, I will wake up and do some exercise. Go get a shower before consuming a heavy breakfast. Then, I swarm directly to my emails to see if I got an important message. Most of the time, I will prepare my to-do list in the morning. Spotify playlist ‘for you’ is always on whenever I am awake. It keeps my brain fresh and unique.
It’s awkward to carry my laptop to any place. So I prefer keeping most of my recorded ideas on MiDis and carry them on my phone. That’s my plan to stay productive.
When it comes to bringing ideas to life, it’s difficult to know if this one will work or not. When I hear something like a melody, even at midnight, I will wake up to record it. I can do that even on my iPhone. The next day, I will play it several times to get the rhythm. Immediately I grasp how it’s going to be, piano roll comes in to replace the vocals.
In most cases, I am excited about how India is digitizing the entertainment world. Millions of people can now access online and get my music. The audience is always ready to demand more content, which makes me work hard. Popular DJs like NUCLEYA started their careers in 1998. But his audience grew in 2009 with an increase in mobile phones and online streaming platforms. Traditionally, solo musicians would work with other popular artists to get an audience. But now, even independent artists are gaining popularity quickly. One of the popular artists like RITVIZ works independently and has a massive audience.
My habit is indulging in logical thinking and sacrificing a lot of time for network development. I go around the world to communicate with other popular artists on how they make music.
To my younger brothers and sisters, it’s ambiguous to focus on the practicality of something before learning theory. Nowadays, I spend most of my time learning music theory, reading various blogs, and watching documentaries. Those with an interest in music can join some classes to grasp the theory. When one combines studies and experience, it leads to a perfectionist.

Music production is not as easy as people think. If you want to produce quality music, it takes a lot of time and energy. ‘The Sampled’ took me almost 6 months to release it. The music was 1.5 seconds long with a series of track layers. During the first launch, I learned a lot of things. The reason why most of my music is unreleased is the fact that I am still a student.
As an entrepreneur, you must shut away from those people who don’t see a good thing out of you. Bring in people who value your work. If you want to grow, experiment, and explore a lot.
While I was working on a certain tracklist, I deleted 14 projects. I thought I had made the worst mistake, but it was just a learning process.
Apart from music, I love cooking and fascinating stuff. I have always thought of building a large restaurant that will prepare all street foods.
When it comes to books, I find them difficult to read, especially novels. But I like interacting more with online materials. In my career, I use the ‘FL_Studio’ software, ‘Audacity, and ‘Abelton’ to get more knowledge.
