On Monday, Indonesian President Joko Widodo denounced an attack in Myanmar on ASEAN officials providing humanitarian supplies and urged to stop the bloodshed in the war-torn nation.
The president, Jokowi, did not specify the event but said it would not stop Indonesia and ASEAN from promoting peace in Myanmar.
Stop employing force and violence because others will suffer. Instead, he said Indonesia urges all parties to talk and find solutions.
The attacker was unknown. The PDF did not immediately reply to a comment request.
A Myanmar junta official declined to comment.
Myanmar’s shadow National Unity Government, associated with the anti-junta People’s Defence Forces (PDF), denied any attack.
