Stellantis (STLAM.MI), the parent company of Chrysler, is recalling 340,000 diesel Ram pickup trucks to replace an electrical connector. This is after receiving reports of six fires.
FCA US, the company’s American subsidiary, has found that a component on some trucks can overheat. Thereby in extremely rare cases, cause a fire.
As far as the automaker is aware, no injuries or accidents have occurred as a result.
Ram is recalling 340,000 pickups and cab chassis trucks with 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engines produced between 2021 and 2023.
A little over 306,000 of them are here in the USA. The remaining nearly 22,000 are in Canada, while the remaining nearly 13,000 are located elsewhere.
